Welcome to Class 1
Our teacher in Class 1 (Reception) is Mrs Hargraves.
In Class 1 we begin to learn what school is really all about! We still have plenty of time to play, explore, use our imagination and follow our own interests but we also start taking part in some (very sort!) lessons. We begin our phonics lessons and very quickly we start being able to read words and then sentences by the end of the year! We learn more about how maths fit into our everyday lives and begin to become more confident using numbers.
Each half term follows a separate theme and the adults who we work with take on board what we are interested in and our learning taking this into account.
