Class 1 and 2 have been exploring the different organisms in different micro-habitats around our school grounds. We found that some plants and animals were found in more than one place. Some organisms though we found only in one place. We think pond weed, newts, frogs and bull-reeds we only found round the pond because they like the damp and need lots of water. Spiders, earwigs, centipedes and woodlice liked it under the log because it was good shelter for them. Our highlight of the afternoon was finding a dragonfly near the pond! It was enormous!
