As it is coming up to the 100 year anniversary of World War 1. Class 3 and Class 4 were lucky enough to have an assembly from the ‘Gaunless Valley Project’. The children spoke to a soldier who delivered the session and who told them what life was like for a soldier during World War 1. They also informed the children of what clothes they would wear, what they would eat, how old they would have to be to join up and took part in an army test at the end. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience and even got to look at artefacts from World War 1 and try on the clothes!
