School Meals

School Dinners

Chartwells provide our school meals. Miss Wardle and Danielle prepare our meals on site daily.

They are available at a cost of £2.81 per day however meals for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are funded by the government (Universal Free School Meals).

Some pupils are eligible for free school meals – Mrs Harrison can confidentially run a check for your family to find out if you are eligible. Free School Meal eligibility also increases the funding which the school is allocated too.

We follow a three week menu rota and children are able to select their meals from several options each day. They can be picked at home or at school using the Cypad link which is shared with parents.

Children can changed between school dinners and a packed lunch on a daily basis. School dinners need to be ordered by 9.30am.

Packed lunches

Children who do not wish to have a school dinner can bring a healthy packed lunch to school.

Please try to support your child providing healthy food in their lunch boxes. A healthy lunch box should contain one portion of bread, pasta or rice, one portion of fruit or vegetables, one portion of meat, fish or cheese/yogurt and one portion of cake. Due to possible nut allergies, please do not send nuts in packed lunches.

Milk

All under 5s are given a free portion of milk, at school, each day.  Those children who are entitled to Free School Meals are also entitled to free milk – please let the school office know if your child is receiving free school meals and would also like to receive free milk.

For those children who are not entitled to free milk, parents can pay for their child to receive milk at school.   Parents can sign up at www.coolmilk.com or contact the school office for a form.
