Welcome to Class 3
Children in this class are Year 3 and Year 4.
Our class teacher is Mrs Hancock and Mrs Kipling also teaches us each week too.
Miss Hodgson and Miss Flynn work with us in our class too.
In Year 3 and Year 4 we build on the learning from KS1 and many more opportunities open up to us. Class 3 is a great place to be because this is where we start increasing our independence and applying our learning more widely across the curriculum. Children in these year groups are securing basic skills (such as using their reading skills to understand texts) and applying them in a range of different contexts.
One very important focus of Class 3 is making sure that we have our times table and division facts very securely stored in our long term memory. This is because we need to be able to recall them without thinking about is when we move into Class 4 and beyond!
