Thermometers and Materials

We have been learning about the properties of materials in Science.  We looked at some objects and the materials they were made out of in class and sorted them in different ways in relation to their properties.  Then we went around school to see what materials were used to construct the different parts of our building and consider why they were good materials to use for each part.  We then learnt how to use thermometers to measure the temperature of water.  Our experiment was to see which material would be best for keeping Sizzles’ gravy bone soup the warmest on cold winter’s days.
